วันนี้ (18 มกราคม 2569) พลตรี วินธัย สุวารี โฆษกกองทัพบก กล่าวถึงกรณีที่รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงสารสนเทศของกัมพูชาให้สัมภาษณ์ ซึ่งต่อมาสื่อต่างประเทศได้นำบทสัมภาษณ์ดังกล่าวไปเผยแพร่ โดยมีการกล่าวอ้างว่ากองทัพไทยยึดครองพื้นที่พลเรือน และยังคงควบคุมพื้นที่ที่ฝ่ายกัมพูชาอ้างว่าเป็นของตนเอง แม้มีข้อตกลงหยุดยิงแล้ว ส่งผลให้ประชาชนกัมพูชาไม่สามารถกลับเข้าพื้นที่ได้ว่า

ฝ่ายไทยขอปฏิเสธข้อกล่าวหาดังกล่าว พร้อมยืนยันว่าไม่ตรงกับข้อเท็จจริง โดยพื้นที่ที่ถูกกล่าวอ้างเป็นพื้นที่ซึ่งอยู่ในเขตอธิปไตยของประเทศไทยมาโดยตลอด และเป็นพื้นที่ที่ประสบปัญหาการบุกรุกเข้ามาอยู่อาศัยโดยผิดกฎหมายอย่างต่อเนื่องยาวนานกว่า 40 ปี มิใช่สถานการณ์ที่เพิ่งเกิดขึ้นจากเหตุปะทะในปัจจุบัน

การดำเนินการของฝ่ายไทยเป็นไปตามหลักสากล ไม่ได้มุ่งรุกล้ำหรือกระทบต่อประชาชนพลเรือน ซึ่งตลอดระยะเวลาที่ผ่านมาฝ่ายไทยได้ดำเนินการผ่านกลไกความร่วมมือที่มีอยู่ในการแจ้งและประท้วงตามช่องทางที่เหมาะสม ควบคู่กับการบังคับใช้กฎหมายภายในประเทศตามขั้นตอนที่กำหนด อาทิ พระราชบัญญัติคนเข้าเมือง กฎหมายป่าไม้ และกฎหมายที่เกี่ยวข้อง โดยมีฝ่ายปกครองและหน่วยงานที่รับผิดชอบ เช่น ตำรวจ และกรมป่าไม้ เข้าดำเนินการอย่างเป็นระบบ ทั้งการสร้างความเข้าใจ การแจ้งเตือนล่วงหน้า การปักป้ายประกาศ และการดำเนินการตามกระบวนการทางกฎหมายอย่างต่อเนื่อง

กองทัพบกขอให้ฝ่ายกัมพูชานำเสนอข้อมูลอย่างตรงไปตรงมา ไม่บิดเบือนข้อเท็จจริง เพื่อไม่ให้สังคมเกิดความเข้าใจคลาดเคลื่อนและไม่กระทบต่อภาพลักษณ์ของฝ่ายไทย รวมถึงบรรยากาศของความร่วมมือ

Royal Thai Army Rejects Cambodian Claims of Civilian Land Encroachment, Affirms Sovereignty and International Principles, Urges Cambodia Not to Distort Information

Today (January 18, 2026), Major General Winthai Suvaree, Army Spokesperson, addressed recent remarks made by Cambodia’s Minister of Information, which were later circulated by international media. The interview alleged that Thai forces occupied civilian areas and continued to control territory claimed by Cambodia despite a ceasefire agreement, preventing Cambodian citizens from returning.

The Royal Thai Army firmly rejects these allegations, stating they do not reflect the facts. The area in question has always been under Thailand’s sovereignty and has faced illegal encroachment for more than 40 years. This is not a new situation arising from recent clashes.

Thai actions are conducted in line with international principles and are not intended to infringe upon or harm civilians. Measures have consistently followed established cooperation mechanisms, including formal notifications and protests, alongside enforcement of national laws such as the Immigration Act, forestry laws, and related regulations. Responsible agencies—including police and the Royal Forest Department—have acted systematically, through public communication, advance warnings, posted notices, and ongoing legal processes.

The Royal Thai Army urges Cambodian authorities to present information accurately and without distortion, to prevent public misunderstanding and to preserve the spirit of cooperation between both sides.
