กองทัพบกชี้แจงข้อเท็จจริง “ปราสาทคนา” ยันไม่มีการรุกล้ำพื้นที่ชายแดน

พลตรี วินธัย สุวารี โฆษกกองทัพบก ได้เปิดเผยข้อมูล กรณีปราสาทคนา ที่ตั้งอยู่บริเวณชายแดน อ.กาบเชิง จ.สุรินทร์ ว่า

ปัจจุบันมีสภาพเป็นสิ่งปรักหักพัง หลงเหลือเพียงแนวกำแพงศิลาแลงสูงประมาณ 1.6 ม. ยาวประมาณ 25 ม.แนวเดียวเท่านั้น

ตัวปราสาทตั้งอยู่บริเวณห่างจากขอบหน้าผามาทางฝั่งไทยประมาณ 100 ม. มีองค์ประกอบคือ สระน้ำ 2 แห่ง คือสระน้อยและสระใหญ่

บริเวณใกล้เคียงปราสาทต่ำลงไปทางขอบหน้าผามีฐานทหารกัมพูชา ตั้งอยูู่เป็นแนวไปทางทิศใต้ โดยมีฐานทหารของไทย โดย ฉก.ทพ.26 อยู่บริเวณใกล้เคียงปราสาทไปทางทิศเหนือ ควบคุมพื้นที่ 2 แห่งคือ ฐานสระใหญ่และฐานสระน้อย

ที่ผ่านมาฝ่ายไทย เข้าไปตรวจสอบสภาพพื้นที่เป็นประจำ เพื่อไม่ให้ฝ่ายกัมพูชา มีการไปปรับเปลี่ยนสภาพแวดล้อมไปใช้งานเป็นที่ตั้งสำหรับปฏิบัติการทางทหาร และบางครั้งฝ่ายกัมพูชา ก็จะเข้ามาพบกับฝ่ายไทย โดยฝ่ายกัมพูชา ไม่ได้มีทีท่าจะขยับคืบเข้ามาควบคุมบริเวณพื้นที่ซากหรือกำแพงของปราสาท แต่อย่างใด

กระทั่งเกิดความขัดแย้งเหตุการณ์ปะทะกันที่ช่องบกเมื่อ พ.ค.68 เกิดความตึงเครียดตลอดแนว ทั้งสองฝ่ายจึงยังไม่มีการเข้าไปบริเวณซากกำแพง โบราณสถานดังกล่าว

สำหรับบันไดไม้ที่ฝ่ายกัมพูชาสร้างนั้นเป็นการสร้างเพื่อใช้สำหรับการส่งกำลังบำรุงขึ้นมายังฐานตรวจการณ์ที่อยู่บนแนวหน้าผา

ซึ่งภายหลังพบว่ามีการใช้ในการเดินทางมาท่องเที่ยวของชาวกัมพูชาร่วมด้วย

ลักษณะของกำลังทหารกัมพูชาที่อยู่บนนั้นไม่มีท่าทีคุกคามเหมือนบางพื้นที่ และจุดเฝ้าตรวจของกัมพูชา ไม่มีลักษณะเป็นป้อมปราการทางทหาร เพื่อใช้สำหรับเตรียมการต่อสู้แต่อย่างใด

ซึ่งจากนี้ไป ทางกองกำลังสุรนารี จะดำเนินการจัดระเบียบพื้นที่ชายแดนให้เหมาะสมกับสถานการณ์ปัจจุบัน โดยเฉพาะในพื้นที่ๆ ไม่มีเหตุความตึงเครียดในช่วงที่ผ่านมา

Royal Thai Army Clarifies Facts on "Prasat Khana" - Affirms No Border Encroachment

Major General Winthai Suvaree, Army Spokesperson, disclosed information regarding Prasat Khana (Khana Temple), located in the border area of Kab Choeng District, Surin Province, stating that:

The site is currently in ruins, with only a single remaining laterite stone wall approximately 1.6 meters high and about 25 meters long.

The temple is situated approximately 100 meters from the cliff edge on the Thai side. It includes two water reservoirs: a small pond and a large pond.

In the nearby area below the temple toward the cliff edge, there is a Cambodian military base positioned in a line toward the south. Thai military from the 26th Military Circle are stationed near the temple to the north, controlling two positions: the Large Pond Base and the Small Pond Base.

Previously, Thai military regularly inspected the area to prevent Cambodia from modifying the environment for military purposes. Occasionally, Cambodian forces would meet with Thai forces, but Cambodia has shown no indication of advancing to control the temple ruins or wall area.

Following the clashes at Chong Bok in May 2025, tensions increased along the entire border. Both sides have therefore refrained from entering the ancient ruins and wall area.

Regarding the wooden staircase constructed by Cambodia, it was built to supply their observation post on the cliff line, later found to also been used by Cambodian tourists.

The Cambodian military presence there displays no threatening posture unlike some other areas, and their observation point is not fortified as a combat-ready military position.

Henceforth,the Suranari Task Force will implement appropriate border area management measures in accordance with the current situation, particularly in areas where there has been no tension in the recent period.
