กองทัพบกเผยกัมพูชายิงเครื่องยิงลูกระเบิดตกบริเวณพื้นที่พลาญหินแปดก้อน ไทยตอบโต้ตามกฎการปะทะ กำลังพลฝ่ายไทยปลอดภัย ชี้ทหารกัมพูชาขาดวินัย

วันนี้ (24 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569) พลตรี วินธัย สุวารี โฆษกกองทัพบก เปิดเผยว่าเมื่อเวลาประมาณ 08.50 น. กองทัพบกได้รับรายงานจากกองทัพภาคที่ 2 ว่า ขณะกำลังพลฝ่ายไทยปฏิบัติภารกิจลาดตระเวนตามปกติ บริเวณพลาญหินแปดก้อน จังหวัดศรีสะเกษ ในพื้นที่รับผิดชอบของกองกำลังสุรนารี ได้เกิดเหตุฝ่ายกัมพูชาใช้อาวุธเครื่องยิงลูกระเบิด ขนาด 40 มม. ยิงเข้ามายังพื้นที่ใกล้กับจุดลาดตระเวนของฝ่ายไทย จำนวน 1 นัด โดยเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าวไม่ส่งผลให้กำลังพลฝ่ายไทยได้รับบาดเจ็บแต่อย่างใด

ภายหลังเหตุการณ์ ฝ่ายไทยได้ดำเนินการตอบโต้ยิง M79 ไปยังทิศทางที่ยิงมาตามกฎการใช้กำลัง เพื่อเป็นการเตือนและป้องกันตนเองตามหลักการ และเพื่อคุ้มครองความปลอดภัยของกำลังพลและพื้นที่รับผิดชอบ พร้อมทั้งได้เพิ่มมาตรการเฝ้าติดตามสถานการณ์และเพิ่มความระมัดระวังในการปฏิบัติอย่างต่อเนื่อง

โฆษกกองทัพบกย้ำว่า การกระทำดังกล่าวของฝ่ายกัมพูชาขัดต่อข้อตกลงหยุดยิงในถ้อยแถลงร่วม (Joint Statement) ที่ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้ยึดถือภายหลังการลงนามเมื่อวันที่ 27 ธันวาคม 2568 ที่ผ่านมา จากการประเมินเบื้องต้น คาดว่าเหตุการณ์อาจเกิดจากการสับเปลี่ยนกำลังของฝ่ายกัมพูชา ซึ่งเป็นกำลังพลใหม่และยังขาดความคุ้นเคยในระเบียบและการควบคุมบังคับบัญชา ส่งผลให้เกิดความบกพร่องในการปฏิบัติในพื้นที่

ทั้งนี้ หน่วยในพื้นที่ได้เพิ่มความระมัดระวังในการปฏิบัติภารกิจอย่างเคร่งครัด และให้ความสำคัญสูงสุดต่อความปลอดภัยของกำลังพลและประชาชน

Royal Thai Army Reports Cambodian Grenade Fire Near Patrol; Thailand Responds Under Rules of Engagement, No Injuries, Discipline Issues Suspected

Today (February 24, 2026), Major General Winthai Suvaree, Army spokesperson, revealed that at approximately 08:50 a.m., the Royal Thai Army received a report from the 2nd Army Region. The report stated that while Thai troops were carrying out a routine patrol in the Phlan Hin Paet Kon area of Sisaket Province, under the responsibility of the Suranaree Task Force, Cambodian forces fired a single 40 mm grenade round toward the vicinity of the Thai patrol. No injuries were sustained by Thai personnel in the incident.

Following the incident, Thai forces responded by firing an M79 in the direction from which the shot originated, in accordance with the rules of engagement, as a warning and for self-defense. This was done to protect the safety of personnel and the area of responsibility. Additional measures have been implemented to monitor the situation and increase caution in ongoing operations.

The spokesperson emphasized that Cambodia’s actions violated the ceasefire agreement in the Joint Statement signed by both sides on December 27, 2025. Preliminary assessment suggests the incident may have resulted from a rotation of Cambodian troops, with new personnel lacking familiarity with regulations and command control, leading to operational shortcomings in the area.

The local units have since tightened operational vigilance and placed the highest priority on the safety of both personnel and civilians.
