วานนี้ (22 ม.ค. 69) กองทัพบก นำคณะผู้ช่วยทูตทหารต่างประเทศประจำประเทศไทย จาก 20 ประเทศ รวม 23 นาย ได้แก่ ออสเตรเลีย บรูไน แคนาดา จีน เยอรมนี อินเดีย อินโดนีเซีย ญี่ปุ่น ลาว มาเลเซีย เมียนมา เนเธอร์แลนด์ ปากีสถาน ฟิลิปปินส์ รัสเซีย สิงคโปร์ สวิตเซอร์แลนด์ สหราชอาณาจักร สหรัฐอเมริกา และเวียดนาม เดินทางลงพื้นที่ในความรับผิดชอบของกองกำลังสุรนารี จ.อุบลราชธานี และ จ.ศรีสะเกษ เพื่อติดตามสถานการณ์และรับทราบข้อเท็จจริงในพื้นที่ชายแดนไทย – กัมพูชา ภายใต้กิจกรรม "Army Open House ครั้งที่ 1 ประจำปี 2569" นำโดย พลโท ธีรนันท์ นันทขว้าง เจ้ากรมข่าวทหารบก

คณะได้เดินทางไปยัง ค่ายสรรพสิทธิประสงค์ อ.วารินชำราบ จ.อุบลราชธานี เพื่อรับฟังการบรรยายสรุปสถานการณ์ในพื้นที่กองทัพภาคที่ 2 โดยเฉพาะประเด็นมูลเหตุของการสู้รบ ผลกระทบที่เกิดต่อพลเรือน การเก็บกู้วัตถุระเบิดที่ตกค้างและทุ่นระเบิดสังหารบุคคล รวมถึงประเด็นที่มีการบิดเบือนข้อมูล โดยมี พลตรี สุคนธรัตน์ ชาวพงษ์ รองแม่ทัพภาคที่ 2 ให้การต้อนรับ

ภายหลังการบรรยายสรุป คณะได้เดินทางไปยัง ผามออีแดง ภายในอุทยานแห่งชาติเขาพระวิหาร ต.เสาธงชัย อ.กันทรลักษ์ จ.ศรีสะเกษ เพื่อรับฟังการบรรยายสรุปประกอบการตรวจการณ์ภูมิประเทศจริง ซึ่งชี้ให้เห็นถึงการวางกำลังของทหารกัมพูชาในบริเวณปราสาทพระวิหารและพื้นที่โดยรอบ รวมถึงยืนยันข้อเท็จจริงว่ากองทัพไทยดำเนินการตอบโต้ตามหลักสากล และใช้ปฏิบัติการต่อเป้าหมายทางทหารที่เป็นภัยคุกคามเท่านั้น

จากนั้นได้เดินทางไปสำรวจพื้นที่ภาคพลเรือนที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากการสู้รบ ณ บ้านหนองเม็ก ต.เสาธงชัย อ.กันทรลักษ์ จ.ศรีสะเกษ พร้อมรับฟังข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับผลกระทบที่เกิดกับประชาชนในพื้นที่

กิจกรรม Army Open House ในครั้งนี้ เปิดโอกาสให้คณะผู้ช่วยทูตทหารต่างประเทศได้รับทราบข้อมูลโดยตรงจากการลงพื้นที่จริง เพื่อลดความเข้าใจคลาดเคลื่อนจากข้อมูลในแหล่งอื่นที่อาจบิดเบือนไปจากข้อเท็จจริง อีกทั้งยังเป็นการสะท้อนความมุ่งมั่นของกองทัพไทยในการแก้ไขปัญหาที่ยึดมั่นในความโปร่งใสและหลักสากล พร้อมทั้งเป็นเวทีสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือและความมั่นคงร่วมกับกองทัพมิตรประเทศอย่างยั่งยืน

Royal Thai Army Leads Military Attachés from Over 20 Nations to Ubon Ratchathani and Sisaket to Clarify Thai–Cambodian Border Situation

On January 22, 2026, the Royal Thai Army led a delegation of 23 foreign military attachés from 20 countries—including Australia, Brunei, Canada, China, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Netherlands, Pakistan, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Vietnam—on a field visit to areas under the responsibility of the Suranaree Task Force in Ubon Ratchathani and Sisaket provinces. The visit was part of the “Army Open House 2026,” led by Lieutenant General Teeranan Nandhakwang, Director General of Intelligence, Royal Thai Army

The delegation first visited Fort Suppasitthiprasong in Warin Chamrap District, Ubon Ratchathani, where they received a briefing on the situation in the 2nd Army Area. Key topics included the causes of armed clashes, impacts on civilians, clearance of unexploded ordnance and landmines, and issues of misinformation. The group was welcomed by Major General Sukontharat Chaopong, Deputy Commanding General of the 2nd Army Area.

Following the briefing, the attachés traveled to Pha Mo I Daeng in Khao Phra Wihan National Park, Sisaket Province, for an on-site terrain observation. The briefing highlighted the deployment of Cambodian forces around the Preah Vihear Temple and surrounding areas, while reaffirming that the Royal Thai Army’s responses adhere strictly to international standards, targeting only military threats.

The delegation then visited Nong Mek Village in Kantharalak District, Sisaket, to observe civilian areas affected by the clashes and to hear accounts of the impact on local residents.

The Army Open House provided foreign military attachés with firsthand information from the field, helping to reduce misunderstandings caused by distorted reports. It also underscored the Royal Thai Army’s commitment to international principles, while serving as a platform to strengthen cooperation and long-term security with allied forces.
