จากกรณีที่กระทรวงกลาโหมกัมพูชา ออกแถลงการณ์ในวันนี้ (10 ธ.ค.68) ระบุว่า “ฝ่ายไทยได้ยิงแก๊สพิษ(ควันพิษ) เข้ามาในพื้นที่ ต.โอเบยเจือน อ.โอโจรว จ.บันเตียเมียนเจย ซึ่งเป็นเขตที่อยู่อาศัยของพลเรือนกัมพูชา ทั้งนี้ การกระทำดังกล่าวเป็นการโจมตีอย่างรุนแรงโดยไม่เลือกเป้าหมายของฝ่ายทหารไทย ถือเป็นการละเมิดกฎหมายมนุษยธรรมระหว่างประเทศ” นั้น

พลตรี วินธัย สุวารี โฆษกกองทัพบก เปิดเผยต่อกรณีดังกล่าวว่า ขอให้กัมพูชาหยุดปล่อยข่าวปลอม หรือข้อมูลบิดเบือนซ้ำๆ เพื่อหลอกลวงประชาชนของประเทศตนเอง รวมถึงนานาชาติ เพราะข้อเท็จจริงที่ปรากฏในพื้นที่ คือกำลังทหารกัมพูชาเป็นฝ่ายเปิดปฏิบัติการต่อฝ่ายไทยตลอดแนวชายแดนไทย-กัมพูชา ตั้งแต่ 7 ธ.ค.68 โดยได้ระดมยิงด้วยปืนเล็กและอาวุธหนักต่อพื้นที่ประเทศไทย โดยไม่เลือกเป้าหมาย ทั้งในเขตชุมชนและสถานพยาบาล ดังเช่นช่วงเช้าวันนี้ ที่ตรวจพบว่ากัมพูชาได้ยิงจรวด BM-21 ลงพื้นที่ใกล้เคียงโรงพยาบาลพนมดงรัก จ.สุรินทร์ รวมทั้งพื้นที่เขตชุมชนอื่นๆ ซึ่งไม่คำนึงถึงหลักสิทธิมนุษยชน และหลักกติกาสากล

ซึ่งจากเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น ที่ส่งผลให้กำลังพลได้รับบาดเจ็บและเสียชีวิต รวมถึงกระทบต่อการดำเนินชีวิตของพี่น้องประชาชนในหลายพื้นที่ชายแดน ซึ่งถือเป็นภัยคุกคามด้านความมั่นคงของประเทศ ทำให้ไทยต้องดำเนินการตามสิทธิในการป้องกันตนเอง ตอบโต้ตามสถานการณ์ โดยยืนยันว่ามีเป้าหมายเฉพาะในพื้นที่ที่มีการปฏิบัติการทางทหาร ที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อประเทศไทยเท่านั้น

กองทัพบกขอปฏิเสธต่อข้อกล่าวหาที่ระบุว่า ไทยได้มีการยิงแก๊สพิษหรือควันพิษใส่ฝ่ายกัมพูชา ตามที่ได้มีการกล่าวอ้าง โดยปราศจากหลักฐานข้อเท็จจริง

นอกจากนี้ จากกรณีที่กัมพูชาได้กล่าวว่ามีประชาชน หรือพื้นที่ของประเทศตน รวมถึงโบราณสถานที่สำคัญ อาทิ ปราสาทพระวิหาร และปราสาทตาควาย ได้รับความเสียหายนั้น จากหลักฐานการข่าวสามารถยืนยันว่ากัมพูชามีการใช้พื้นที่ชุมชนพลเรือน อาคารบ่อนกาสิโน และโบราณสถาน เป็นที่กำบังในการเปิดปฏิบัติการทางทหาร หรือใช้โล่มนุษย์ โดยไม่คำนึงถึงความปลอดภัยของประชาชนประเทศตน

ล่าสุดฝ่ายไทยตรวจพบว่าทหารกัมพูชาได้ใช้พื้นที่ตัวปราสาทพระวิหารเป็นสถานที่ปฏิบัติการทางทหาร ติดตั้งเครื่องยิงลูกระเบิด และปืนใหญ่ รวมทั้งระบบแอนตี้โดรน ที่เตรียมการโจมตีต่อฝ่ายไทย ทำให้เป็นหลักฐานอย่างชัดเจนว่า กัมพูชาไม่ได้ให้ความสำคัญและเคารพในสถานที่ทางประวัติศาสตร์ดังกล่าว ซ้ำยังนำมาเป็นเครื่องมือหนึ่งในปฏิบัติการทางทหารด้วย

กองทัพบกขอประณามการกระทำของกัมพูชา ซึ่งละเมิดต่อข้อตกลงหยุดยิงทุกข้อ และหลักกฎหมายมนุษยธรรมสากลในทุกด้าน โดยขอให้ยุติการดำเนินการต่างๆ ที่อาจส่งผลกระทบในบริเวณกว้าง ซึ่งไม่เกี่ยวข้องกับปฏิบัติการทางทหาร และขัดต่อแนวทางในการดำเนินการสู่สันติภาพ อันจะทำให้ความขัดแย้งในพื้นที่ชายแดนทวีความรุนแรงมากยิ่งขึ้น

Royal Thai Army Rejects Cambodian Defense Ministry Claims: Denies Poison Gas Allegations, Condemns Cambodia for Ceasefire Breaches, Indiscriminate Border Attacks, Exploiting Civilians and Heritage Sites, and Ignoring International Law

Regarding the statement issued today (December 10, 2025) by Cambodia’s Ministry of Defense, which claimed that “Thai forces fired poisonous gas (toxic fumes) into the area of O Bei Choan Subdistrict, Ou Chrov District, Banteay Meanchey Province, which is a civilian residential zone in Cambodia. Such an act constitutes a severe, indiscriminate attack by the Thai military and is a violation of international humanitarian law”:

Major General Winthai Suvaree, Army spokesperson, responded to the allegation by urging Cambodia to stop spreading fake news or repeatedly distorting information to deceive its own people and the international community. He stated that the facts on the ground show that Cambodian forces have been conducting operations against Thailand along the Thai-Cambodian border since December 7, 2025, launching both small arms and heavy weapons fire into Thai territory indiscriminately, including into civilian areas and medical facilities. For example, this morning it was confirmed that Cambodia fired BM-21 rockets into areas near Phanom Dong Rak Hospital in Surin Province, as well as other community zones, disregarding human rights and international law.

As a result of these incidents, Thai military personnel have been injured and killed, and the lives of civilians in many border areas have been disrupted. This constitutes a threat to national security, compelling Thailand to exercise its right to self-defense and respond according to the situation. The Thai Army emphasized that its operations are strictly targeted at military activity zones that directly affect Thailand.

The Royal Thai Army categorically denied the accusation that Thailand used poisonous gas or toxic fumes against Cambodia, stating that such claims are baseless and unsupported by evidence.

Furthermore, regarding Cambodia’s claim that its civilians, territory, and important cultural heritage sites—such as the Preah Vihear Temple and Ta Kwai Temple—were damaged, Thai intelligence confirmed that Cambodian forces have been using civilian communities, casino buildings, and heritage sites as cover for military operations, effectively employing human shields and disregarding the safety of their own people.

Most recently, Thai forces detected that Cambodian troops had used the Preah Vihear Temple itself as a military base, installing mortars, artillery, and anti-drone systems in preparation for attacks against Thailand. This serves as clear evidence that Cambodia does not respect or value the historical significance of the site, instead exploiting it as a tool in military operations.

The Royal Thai Army strongly condemns Cambodia’s actions, which violate all ceasefire agreements and every principle of international humanitarian law. The Royal Thai Army calls on Cambodia to cease operations that could cause widespread harm unrelated to military objectives and that contradict efforts toward peace, as such actions will only escalate the conflict along the border.
