ตามรายงานจากศูนย์เฉพาะกิจบริหารสถานการณ์บริเวณชายแดนไทย - กัมพูชา, กองทัพบก และกองทัพภาคที่ 2 ได้สรุปเหตุการณ์บริเวณชายแดนไทย–กัมพูชา ดังนี้:

สถานการณ์โดยรวมพื้นที่กองทัพภาคที่ 2

มีการตรวจพบความเคลื่อนไหว ของทหารฝ่ายกัมพูชาโดยเจ้าหน้าที่ได้ตรวจพบโดรนบริเวณพื้นที่ซำแต - ช่องตาเฒ่า 6 ครั้ง และพื้นที่สัตตะโสม - ภูผี – โดนตวน 1 ครั้ง ปัจจุบันอยู่ระหว่าง การติดตามความเคลื่อนไหวของฝ่ายตรงข้ามอย่างใกล้ชิด

กองกำลังทั้ง 2 ฝ่าย ยังคงวางกำลังตามแนวที่มั่นของตนเอง ฝ่ายไทย จัดกำลังพลประจำจุดเฝ้าตรวจ ตามเหตุการณ์ เพื่อติดตามความเคลื่อนไหว ของฝ่ายตรงข้าม และเตรียมความพร้อมในการปฏิบัติตอบโต้ ตามสถานการณ์

กองทัพบก โต้ถ้อยแถลงกัมพูชา ยืนยันไทยยึดมั่นข้อตกลงหยุดยิง กฎหมายระหว่างประเทศ พร้อมเดินหน้าช่วยเหลือประชาชนที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากการใช้อาวุธจากฝ่ายกัมพูชา

จากกรณีเมื่อวันที่ 31 ส.ค.68 นายชุม ซอนรี โฆษกกระทรวงการต่างประเทศกัมพูชา ได้แถลงความคืบหน้าเกี่ยวกับการปฏิบัติตามข้อตกลงหยุดยิงระหว่างกัมพูชา–ไทย โดยสรุปว่า กัมพูชายืนยันความมุ่งมั่นในการดำเนินการตามข้อตกลงหยุดยิง พร้อมได้รับการสนับสนุนจากพันธมิตรนานาชาติ และกล่าวหาว่าฝ่ายไทยละเมิดข้อตกลงดังกล่าว จนสร้างความเสี่ยงต่อทั้งกำลังพลและพลเรือน อีกทั้งยังก่อให้ประชากรกลุ่มเปราะบางต้องพลัดถิ่นมากยิ่งขึ้น

ฝ่ายกัมพูชาย้ำว่า การปฏิบัติตามข้อตกลงหยุดยิงจะช่วยคุ้มครองประชาชน และเปิดโอกาสให้หน่วยงานด้านมนุษยธรรม อาทิ คณะกรรมการกาชาดระหว่างประเทศ (ICRC) องค์การสหประชาชาติ และองค์กรพัฒนาเอกชน (NGOs) สามารถเข้ามาให้การช่วยเหลือที่จำเป็นต่อการดำรงชีพแก่ชุมชนที่ได้รับผลกระทบได้อย่างเต็มที่ ทั้งยังอ้างว่ากัมพูชายึดมั่นในหลักการกฎบัตรสหประชาชาติ โดยเฉพาะการห้ามใช้กำลัง และพร้อมเดินหน้าการเจรจาเพื่อหาทางออกอย่างสันติ พร้อมเรียกร้องให้ประเทศไทยปฏิบัติตามข้อตกลงหยุดยิงอย่างจริงจัง ยุติการกระทำที่บ่อนทำลายข้อเท็จจริง เพื่อป้องกันไม่ให้เกิดเหตุการณ์ที่สร้างความสูญเสียแก่พลเรือนในอนาคต รวมถึงทำงานร่วมกับกัมพูชาและกลไกของอาเซียนเพื่อรักษาสันติภาพและเสถียรภาพในภูมิภาค

ต่อประเด็นดังกล่าว โฆษกกองทัพบก ได้ออกมาชี้แจงว่า

ประเทศไทยยึดมั่นและปฏิบัติตามข้อตกลงหยุดยิงอย่างเคร่งครัด พร้อมดำเนินการให้เป็นไปตามหลักกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยที่ผ่านมา ไทยเปิดกว้างให้คณะผู้สังเกตการณ์ชั่วคราวอาเซียน (IOT) คณะจาก ICRC และพันธมิตรนานาประเทศ รวมถึงสื่อมวลชนทั้งไทยและต่างประเทศ ลงพื้นที่ตรวจสอบข้อเท็จจริงได้ทุกจุดโดยเสรี ไม่เคยมีการปิดกั้นข้อมูล ซึ่งสิ่งเหล่านี้เป็นเครื่องบ่งชี้ถึงความบริสุทธิ์ใจของฝ่ายไทย ที่ดำเนินการทุกอย่างแบบตรงไปตรงมา

กลับพบว่าฝ่ายกัมพูชา ซึ่งอ้างว่ายึดมั่นในข้อตกลงหยุดยิง อาจเป็นเพียงภาพการสื่อสารเพื่อสร้างผลเชิงภาพลักษณ์เท่านั้น เพราะในความเป็นจริง ฝ่ายกัมพูชายังมีการลักลอบวางทุ่นระเบิดในเขตแดนไทยอยู่ตลอด จนส่งผลให้กำลังพลไทยได้รับบาดเจ็บหลายครั้ง อีกทั้งยังไม่แสดงท่าทีที่ชัดเจนในการแก้ปัญหาทุ่นระเบิดเพื่อมนุษยธรรม แม้ฝ่ายไทยจะได้เสนอผ่านเวทีการประชุม GBC และ RBC มาโดยตลอด

นอกจากนี้ กัมพูชายังเผยแพร่ข้อมูลบิดเบือนกล่าวหาไทย เช่น เรื่องการใช้อาวุธเคมี หรือบิดเบือนว่าทุ่นระเบิดที่พบเป็นของเก่าตกค้างจากสงครามในอดีต ทั้งที่ฝ่ายไทยมีหลักฐานพิสูจน์ยืนยันได้ชัดเจน สำหรับการละเมิดข้อตกลงหยุดยิงผ่านการใช้ทุ่นระเบิดของฝ่ายกัมพูชา ถือเป็นการบ่อนทำลายความพยายามแก้ปัญหาในระดับทวิภาคีของกัมพูชาเอง

โฆษกกองทัพบกยังกล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า ปัจจุบันฝ่ายไทยให้ความสำคัญในการช่วยเหลือเยียวยาประชาชน และฟื้นฟูโครงสร้างพื้นฐานที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากการโจมตีโดยไม่เลือกเป้าหมายของกัมพูชา ไม่ว่าจะเป็นบ้านเรือน โรงพยาบาล หรือระบบสาธารณูปโภค พร้อมขอบคุณทุกภาคส่วน ทั้งหน่วยงานภาครัฐ ภาคประชาชน และนานาชาติ ที่ร่วมมือและแสดงน้ำใจช่วยเหลือกันอย่างเข้มแข็ง

ในขณะเดียวกัน ประเด็นที่น่าเป็นห่วงคือเหตุการณ์ที่บ้านหนองจาน จังหวัดสระแก้ว ซึ่งชัดเจนว่าฝ่ายกัมพูชาสนับสนุนให้ประชาชนรุกล้ำเข้ามาอาศัยในเขตพื้นที่ประเทศไทย รวมถึงในเขตพื้นที่อ้างสิทธิของประเทศไทย ซึ่งเป็นการละเมิดข้อตกลง MOU 43 แม้ฝ่ายไทยประท้วงอย่างสันติมาอย่างยาวนาน แต่กัมพูชากลับเพิกเฉยต่อการแก้ไขปัญหา

โฆษกกองทัพบกย้ำว่า สังคมและนานาชาติควรตระหนักและรับรู้ว่า ที่ผ่านมา กัมพูชาพยายามบิดเบือนข้อเท็จจริงที่เกี่ยวข้องกับพื้นที่ดังกล่าว อีกทั้งยังพยายามใช้กลุ่มประชาชนออกหน้าแทนด้วยท่าทีที่แข็งกร้าว

กองทัพบกชี้แจงทหารกัมพูชาลอบวางกับระเบิดแสวงเครื่อง ในเขตไทยใกล้เนิน 350 ปราสาทตาควาย ทบ.ชี้ละเมิดข้อตกลงหยุดยิง สร้างความตึงเครียดชายแดน

วันนี้(1 ก.ย.68) กองทัพบกได้รับรายงานจากกองทัพภาคที่ 2 กรณีเมื่อวันที่ 31 ส.ค. 68 เวลาประมาณ 11.50 น. กองร้อยอาวุธเบาที่ 1 กองพันทหารราบที่ 27 ตรวจพบการวางกับระเบิดแสวงเครื่องในลักษณะใช้ลูกกระสุนเครื่องยิงลูกระเบิดประกอบกับการใช้ลวดสะดุดของทหารกัมพูชา ในพื้นที่ทิศตะวันตกของปราสาทตาควาย ห่างจากเนิน 350 ประมาณ 1.7 กิโลเมตร ต.บักได อ.พนมดงรัก จ.สุรินทร์ ใกล้กับบริเวณแนวการวางลวดหนามป้องกันตนเองในเขตไทย

ทั้งนี้ ยุทธวิธีของทหารกัมพูชาสอดคล้องกับเหตุการณ์เมื่อวันที่ 22 ส.ค. 68 ที่ฝ่ายไทยตรวจพบทหารกัมพูชา ดักซุ่มและตรวจการณ์ฝ่ายไทย บริเวณทิศตะวันตกของเนิน 350 ต.บักได อ.พนมดงรัก จ.สุรินทร์ ซึ่งต่อมา จากการเข้าตรวจสอบพื้นที่โดยรอบ พบการวางทุ่นระเบิด PMN-2 รวม 3 ทุ่น พร้อมลูกกระสุนเครื่องยิงลูกระเบิด 2 ลูก และตะปูเรือใบจำนวนมาก คาดว่าลูกกระสุนเครื่องยิง ลูกระเบิดดังกล่าวจะถูกเตรียมนำมาใช้ในการวางกับระเบิดแสวงเครื่อง ตามที่ปรากฏ

จากกรณีดังกล่าว โฆษกกองทัพบก กล่าวว่า การกระทำและหลักฐานดังกล่าวแสดงให้เห็นถึงการละเมิดข้อตกลงหยุดยิงอย่างชัดเจน ทั้งในเรื่องการใช้กับระเบิดแสวงเครื่อง เป็นอาวุธลอบโจมตีทหารไทยโดยหวังผลให้เกิดอันตรายถึงชีวิตในดินแดนไทย ซึ่งถือเป็นการกระทำยั่วยุที่ส่งผลให้เกิดความตึงเครียดระหว่างกัน การกระทำดังกล่าวยังย้อนแย้งกับท่าทีที่ฝ่ายกัมพูชาพยายามบิดเบือนต่อประชาคมระหว่างประเทศว่าเป็นผู้รักสันติและยึดมั่นในข้อตกลงหยุดยิง ทั้งที่มีข้อเท็จจริงและหลักฐานต่าง ๆ ที่พบ ยืนยันได้ว่ากัมพูชาละเมิดข้อตกลงรวมทั้งอนุสัญญาออตตาวามาโดยตลอด นอกจากนี้ฝ่ายกัมพูชามีการใช้ยุทธวิธีวางทุ่นระเบิด เพื่อลอบทำร้ายฝ่ายไทยอย่างต่อเนื่อง

ซึ่งผู้บัญชาการทหารบก ได้สั่งการผ่านกองทัพภาคที่ 2 กำชับให้กำลังพลทุกนายปฏิบัติหน้าที่ด้วยความรอบคอบ ไม่ประมาท และใช้ชุดทหารช่างเก็บกู้ทุ่นระเบิดเข้าตรวจสอบพื้นที่เสี่ยงเพื่อความปลอดภัยในการปฏิบัติภารกิจในทุกครั้ง

สรุปสถานการณ์ผู้ได้รับผลกระทบ (ยอดสะสมถึงวันที่ 1 กันยายน 2568)

ศูนย์เฉพาะกิจบริหารสถานการณ์บริเวณชายแดนไทย - กัมพูชา ชี้แจงข้อเท็จจริง กรณีจุดผ่านแดนถาวรบ้านคลองลึก อ.อรัญประเทศ จ.สระแก้ว เมื่อ (31 ส.ค.68 )เพื่อความเข้าใจที่ถูกต้อง ตรวจคนเข้าเมืองจังหวัดสระแก้ว ได้โพสต์ข่าวประชาสัมพันธ์ ผ่านช่องทางสื่อสาร "ตรวจคนเข้าเมืองจังหวัดสระแก้ว" ดังนี้

ตามที่มีกระแสข่าวในสื่อโซเชียล เกี่ยวกับการดำเนินการที่จุดผ่านแดนถาวรบ้านคลองลึก อ.อรัญประเทศ จ.สระแก้ว ในวันที่ 31 ส.ค.68 เวลา 13.00 - 16.00 น. นั้น

ตรวจคนเข้าเมืองจังหวัดสระแก้ว ขอเรียนให้ทราบว่า เป็นการอนุโลม ให้กับคนไทยที่ยังตกค้างอยู่ในประเทศกัมพูชา และคนกัมพูชาที่ประสงค์จะเดินทางกลับประเทศ เป็นวันสุดท้าย(31 ส.ค.68) โดยมีเอกสารการเดินทางที่ถูกต้องเท่านั้น มิได้มีเจตนาเป็นประการอื่นตามที่เป็นกระแสข่าว

ทั้งนี้ ขอเรียนยืนยันว่า ทุกจุดผ่านแดนฯ ในพื้นที่ จ.สระแก้ว ยังคงปิดเช่นเดิมอย่างไรก็ตาม ตรวจคนเข้าเมืองจังหวัดสระแก้ว ต้องกราบขอโทษพี่น้องประชาชนที่มีส่วนทำให้เกิดความสับสนและความเข้าใจผิด มา ณ ที่นี้ด้วย

กองทัพบก ร่วมกับสถาบันนิติวิทยาศาสตร์ กระทรวงยุติธรรม ลงพื้นที่ตรวจสอบและเก็บหลักฐานจากเหตุการณ์การสู้รบที่เกิดขึ้นบริเวณชายแดนไทย–กัมพูชา(31 ส.ค.68 )ณ โรงพยาบาลพนมดงรักเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 80 พรรษา อำเภอพนมดงรัก จังหวัดสุรินทร์ ซึ่งถูกกระสุนปืนใหญ่ของฝ่ายกัมพูชายิงเข้ามาในพื้นที่โรงพยาบาล เมื่อช่วงเช้าของวันที่ 24 ก.ค. 68 จำนวน 3 นัด ส่งผลให้อาคารหลายหลังได้รับความเสียหาย โดยเฉพาะอาคารภูมิพัฒน์ และอาคารศูนย์สุขภาพชุมชนพระครูอาภัสธรรม (หลวงตารอด) ซึ่งเป็นอาคารห้องตรวจครรภ์มารดาก่อนคลอด อันเป็นพื้นที่ให้บริการสำคัญแก่ประชาชนในชุมชน จนต้องอพยพผู้ป่วยไปยังพื้นที่ปลอดภัยเป็นการฉุกเฉิน ซึ่งปกติจะมีผู้มาใช้บริการหลากหลายกลุ่ม ทั้งมารดาที่ฝากครรภ์วันละ 5–10 ราย

ในช่วงเกิดเหตุ ได้ยินเสียงระเบิดจากอาคารภูมิพัฒน์ที่อยู่ใกล้เคียง จากนั้นสะเก็ดระเบิดได้พุ่งเข้ามายังห้องตรวจครรภ์ รวมถึงบริเวณที่นั่งของแพทย์ แต่โชคดีที่ไม่มีผู้ได้รับบาดเจ็บในขณะนั้น จึงรีบอพยพหญิงตั้งครรภ์รายออกมาได้อย่างปลอดภัย ขณะเดียวกันผู้ป่วยและญาติที่ยังอยู่ภายในอาคารต่างรีบอพยพไปยังหลุมหลบภัยชั่วคราว เหตุการณ์ครั้งนี้ไม่เพียงสะท้อนถึงความรุนแรงของสถานการณ์ชายแดน แต่ยังแสดงให้เห็นถึงความเสี่ยงของประชาชน โดยเฉพาะในโรงพยาบาลซึ่งควรเป็นสถานที่ปลอดภัยที่สุด กลับต้องเผชิญกับภัยคุกคามและความหวาดกลัวในชีวิตประจำวัน

ขณะนี้ เจ้าหน้าที่สถาบันนิติวิทยาศาสตร์ได้เก็บรวบรวมหลักฐานในที่เกิดเหตุทั้งหมด โดยเฉพาะสะเก็ดระเบิด เพื่อนำไปตรวจสอบยังห้องปฏิบัติการของสถาบันนิติวิทยาศาสตร์ เพื่อพิสูจน์ที่มาและรายละเอียดของการยิงดังกล่าวต่อไป

กองทัพบกชี้คำกล่าวอ้างกัมพูชา พบพฤติกรรมขัดแย้งกับภาพลักษณ์ “ประเทศรักสันติภาพ”

จากกรณีที่ นายเพน โบนา รัฐมนตรีประจำสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรีกัมพูชา และหัวหน้าโฆษกรัฐบาลกัมพูชา แถลงความคืบหน้าเกี่ยวกับการปฏิบัติตามข้อตกลงหยุดยิงระหว่างกัมพูชา–ไทย เมื่อวันที่ 1 กันยายน 2568 โดยสรุปว่า กัมพูชายังคงยึดมั่นในข้อตกลงหยุดยิงและกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศอย่างจริงจัง ซึ่งได้รับการยอมรับและคำชื่นชมเพิ่มขึ้นในเวทีระหว่างประเทศ พร้อมเรียกร้องให้ประเทศไทยปฏิบัติตามข้อตกลงหยุดยิง หลีกเลี่ยงการยั่วยุที่อาจนำไปสู่ความขัดแย้ง และป้องกันไม่ให้สถานการณ์ทวีความรุนแรงขึ้น อีกทั้งยังย้ำว่ากัมพูชามุ่งมั่นต่อสันติภาพ มิตรภาพ ความร่วมมือ และการพัฒนาชายแดน โดยไม่ปรารถนาความขัดแย้งด้วยอาวุธ

โฆษกกองทัพบก ได้ชี้แจงว่า ไม่ควรนำข้อตกลงหยุดยิงมาใช้เป็นเพียงเครื่องมือสร้างภาพทางการสื่อสาร เพื่อเรียกร้องความเห็นใจจากนานาชาติ ขณะที่พฤติกรรมที่ปรากฏกลับขัดแย้งกับสิ่งที่กล่าวอ้าง โดยภายหลังการหยุดยิงฝ่ายกัมพูชายังคงมีการเคลื่อนไหวอย่างต่อเนื่องโดยพยายามหลบสายตาสังคมโลก อาทิ การลอบวางทุ่นระเบิด ซึ่งพบทั้งกรณีที่เกิดระเบิดขึ้นแล้ว และกรณีที่วางดักรอไว้ให้ฝ่ายไทยเหยียบ, การใช้โดรนในการเข้ามาก่อกวนและตรวจสอบการวางกำลังของฝ่ายไทย, การปลุกระดมประชาชนให้ออกมาเคลื่อนไหว สร้างภาพเพื่อบิดเบือนข้อเท็จจริงต่อสายตาชาวโลก และล่าสุดพบการใช้ระเบิดแสวงเครื่องซึ่งมีอานุภาพร้ายแรงมากกว่าทุ่นระเบิดในพื้นที่ชายแดน รวมถึงการบิดเบือนข่าวสารเพื่อต้องการให้ร้ายประเทศไทยอย่างต่อเนื่อง กัมพูชาควรมีการแสดงออกที่เป็นรูปธรรมและตรวจสอบได้ มิใช่เพียงการสร้างภาพเพื่อผลทางการเมืองและการสื่อสาร

According to reports from the Ad Hoc Centre for Thailand–Cambodia Border Situation, the Royal Thai Army, and the 2nd Army Area, the situation along the Thai-Cambodian border can be summarized as follows:

Overall Situation in the 2nd Army Area

Movements of Cambodian soldiers have been detected. Officials reported spotting drones six times in the Sam Tae-Chong Ta Thao area and once in the Sat Ta Som-Phu Phee-Don Tuan area. Surveillance of Cambodian activities is ongoing.

Both Thai and Cambodian forces continue to maintain their positions. Thai forces have stationed personnel at observation posts to monitor the situation and remain fully prepared to respond if necessary.

The Royal Thai Army Disputes Cambodian Statement, Reaffirms Thailand's Commitment to Ceasefire Agreement and International Law, While Continuing Assistance to Civilians Affected by Cambodian Weapons

On 31 August 2025, Mr. Chum Sounry, spokesperson of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issued a statement regarding progress on the implementation of the Cambodia-Thailand ceasefire agreement. He summarized that Cambodia reaffirms its commitment to implement the ceasefire agreement with support from international partners while accusing Thailand of violating it, thereby creating risks for both military personnel and civilians and causing increased displacement of vulnerable populations.

The Cambodian side also emphasized that compliance with the ceasefire agreement would help protect civilians and provide opportunities for humanitarian agencies, including the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the United Nations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to deliver essential life-sustaining assistance to affected communities. Cambodia also claimed adherence to the United Nations Charter principles, particularly the prohibition of the use of force, while expressing readiness to pursue negotiations for peaceful solutions. Cambodia called upon Thailand to seriously comply with the ceasefire agreement, cease actions that undermine facts, prevent future incidents causing civilian casualties, and work with Cambodia and ASEAN mechanisms to maintain regional peace and stability.

Regarding this matter, Army spokesperson, clarified that Thailand strictly adheres to and implements the ceasefire agreement while continuously operating in accordance with international law. Thailand has openly allowed the Interim Observer Team (IOT) of ASEAN member states, delegations from the ICRC, international partners, and both Thai and foreign media to freely inspect facts at all locations without any information restrictions. These actions demonstrate Thailand's sincerity in conducting all operations transparently.

However, it appears that Cambodia's claimed adherence to the ceasefire agreement may merely constitute communication for image-building purposes. In reality, Cambodia continues to covertly plant landmines in Thai territory, resulting in multiple injuries to Thai personnel, while showing no clear commitment to resolving the landmine issue for humanitarian purposes, despite Thailand's continuous proposals through GBC and RBC meetings.

Furthermore, Cambodia disseminates disinformation accusing Thailand of issues such as chemical weapons usage or falsely claiming that discovered landmines are remnants from past conflicts, despite Thailand possessing clear evidence proving Cambodia's violations of the ceasefire agreement through landmine deployment. Such actions constitute Cambodia's own undermining of bilateral problem-solving efforts.

The Army spokesperson added that Thailand currently prioritizes assistance and rehabilitation for civilians and infrastructure restoration affected by Cambodia's indiscriminate attacks on residential areas, hospitals, and public utilities. Thailand expresses gratitude to all sectors, such as government agencies, civil society, and international organizations, for their strong cooperation and assistance.

Simultaneously, a concerning issue involves incidents at Ban Nong Chan, Sa Kaeo Province, where Cambodia clearly supports civilian encroachment into Thai territory, including areas under Thai sovereignty claims, violating MOU 2000. Despite Thailand's prolonged peaceful protests, Cambodia has ignored problem resolution efforts.

The Army spokesperson emphasized that society and the international community should recognize that Cambodia has attempted to distort facts regarding these areas while using civilian groups as proxies with aggressive postures.

Today (1 September 2025 the Royal Thai Army received a report from the 2nd Army Area that on 31 August 2025, at approximately 11.50 hours, the 1st Rifle Company, 27th Infantry Battalion, discovered the placement of improvised explosive devices consisting of grenade launcher rounds combined with tripwires by Cambodian soldiers in the area west of Ta Kwai Temple, approximately 1.7 kilometers from Hill 350, Bak Dai Sub-district, Phanom Dong Rak District, Surin Province, near the Thai defensive concertina wire perimeter.

The tactics employed by Cambodian soldiers are consistent with the incident on 22 August 2025, when Thai forces detected Cambodian soldiers conducting ambush and reconnaissance operations against Thai forces in the western area of Hill 350, Bak Dai Sub-district, Phanom Dong Rak District, Surin Province. Subsequently, area inspections conducted in the surrounding vicinity revealed three PMN-2 anti-personnel mines, along with two grenade launcher rounds and numerous sailing nails. It is suspected that these grenade launcher rounds were prepared for use in improvised explosive device placement, as evidenced in this case.

The Army Spokesperson stressed that this evidence clearly demonstrates Cambodia’s blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement by using IEDs intended to deliberately target and create fatal harm to Thai soldiers within Thai territory Such actions also contradict Cambodia's attempts to distort perceptions before the international community by portraying themselves as peace-loving and committed to the ceasefire agreement, while facts and evidence discovered confirm that Cambodia continuously violates agreements, including the Ottawa Convention. Cambodian forces have consistently used landmines and similar tactics to harm Thai personnel.

The Chief of Army, has issued orders through the 2nd Army Area emphasizing that all personnel must perform their duties with caution and vigilance and that explosive ordnance disposal teams must inspect risk areas for safety in mission execution at all times.

Clarification from the Ad Hoc Centre for Thailand-Cambodia Border Situation Regarding Ban Klong Luek Permanent Border Crossing, Aranyaprathet District, Sa Kaeo Province (31 August 2025)

In response to widespread social media reports regarding operations at Ban Klong Luek crossing on 31 August 2025 from 13.00 to 16.00 hrs:

Sa Kaeo Immigration clarifies that this was a one-time exception allowing stranded Thai citizens in Cambodia and Cambodian citizens wishing to return home to cross, provided they had valid travel documents. This was the final day (31 August 2025) for the exemption and had no other intent as rumored online.

Sa Kaeo Immigration confirms that all other border crossings in the province remain closed as usual. The agency apologized for any confusion and misunderstanding caused.

On 31 August 2025, the Royal Thai Army, in collaboration with the Central Institute of Forensic Science Thailand, Ministry of Justice, conducted a field investigation and evidence collection from the combat incident that occurred along Thailand - Cambodia border at Phanom Dong Rak Hospital, Phanom Dong Rak District, Surin Province, which was struck by Cambodian artillery fire into the hospital premises during the morning of 24 July 2025, totaling 3 rounds. The shelling caused damage to multiple buildings, including Bhumipatana Building and the Phra Khru Aphat Tham Community Health Center Building (Luang Ta Rod), a maternity care facility serving local communities. Patients, including expectant mothers, were urgently evacuated to safety.

During the incident, an explosion near Bhumipatana Building caused shrapnel to penetrate the maternity examination room and doctors’ seating area. Fortunately, no one was injured, and pregnant women were evacuated immediately. Patients and their families sought shelter in temporary bunkers, reflecting the escalating danger civilians face. Hospitals, which should constitute the safest locations, are now threatened by violence, forcing residents to live in fear.

Currently, officials from the Central Institute of Forensic Science Thailand have collected all evidence from the incident site, particularly shrapnel fragments, for laboratory examination at the forensic science institute to verify the origin and details of the aforementioned artillery fire.

The Royal Thai Army Identifies Contradictory Behavior in Cambodian Claims Against "Peace-Loving Nation" Image

Following the statement by Mr. Pen Bona, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister's Office and Chief Government Spokesperson of Cambodia, announcing progress on the implementation of the Cambodia-Thailand ceasefire agreement on 1 September 2025, summarizing that Cambodia remains firmly committed to the ceasefire agreement and international law with seriousness, which has gained increasing recognition and appreciation on the international stage, while calling on Thailand to comply with the ceasefire agreement, avoid provocations that may lead to conflict, and prevent escalation of the situation. He further emphasized that Cambodia is committed to peace, friendship, cooperation, and border development, with no desire for armed conflict.

Regarding this matter, the Army spokesperson, clarified that the ceasefire agreement should not be utilized merely as a communications tool for international sympathy while exhibited behavior contradicts stated claims. Following the ceasefire, the Cambodian side continues persistent activities while attempting to evade global scrutiny; including clandestine mine placement, discovered in both detonated cases and those positioned as traps for Thai forces to trigger, deployment of drones for disruption and reconnaissance of Thai military positions, mobilization of civilians for demonstrations, fabrication of distorted narratives before the international community, and most recently, the discovery of improvised explosive devices possessing far greater destructive capacity than landmines in border areas, as well as continuous information distortion aimed at defaming Thailand. Cambodia must demonstrate verifiable actions, not rely on manufactured narratives for political and diplomatic advantage.
